When The Surgery Is Closed Telephone 01823 285400.  Please have a pen and paper ready and listen to the 'Out of Hours' answer phone message. A local PCT led service provides the 'Out of Hours' care

The doctors offer a mix of pre-booked and 'same day' appointments. We have a greater number of morning appointments than afternoons. It helps us if you can accept the first appointment you are offered

The practice contracts with the local Primary Care Trust to provide NHS services under three categories.

Essential Services

  • Management of patients who are ill or believe themselves to be ill.
  • General management of patients who are terminally ill.
  • Management of chronic disease.

Nurse-run Clinics

The surgery holds regular clinics run by the practice nurse team for:

  • Minor surgery
  • Children's immunisation
  • Foreign travel
  • Blood tests (phlebotomy)


Consultations

  • Newly registered patients are invited to attend an appointment for a 'new patient' check with the practice nurse.
  • Patients aged 16 - 75 are entitled to an appointment if they have not been seen within the last three years.
  • Patients aged 75 are entitled to an appointment if they have not been seen within the last 12 months.
