About our Appointments
We have appointment schedules for our GPs, Advanced Nurse/Care Practitioner team and Practice Nurse team.
We operate from two sites, our main location being St James Medical Centre and also at Orchard Medical Centre (our branch surgery site) in Norton Fitzwarren.
We hold clinics at both sites and there is some flexibility about which site you can be seen at.
Making an Appointment
In order to request a GP appointment, we encourage all our patients, where possible to submit an online request form. Alternatively, you can telephone us on 01823 285400 (please note that the phones can be very busy first thing in the morning, around lunch time and between 4pm and 6pm).

Home Visits
This services is only for patients who are truly housebound or those who are severely ill and cannot be mobilised.
It is better for patients to be seen at the surgery whenever possible. If the doctor decides that you are too ill to come into the surgery, a home visit will be arranged.
Please phone before 10.30am to discuss this, this helps the doctors to plan their rounds.
Tell the Patient Services Assistant how you feel, this helps the doctor to assess the urgency of the visit.
Cancelling Appointments
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule. Please think about others. Help us to help more people.
If you need to cancel your appointment, you can do so via the following:

- Call the Practice on 01823 285400, select option 2 and leave a message.

In an emergency, please call 999.
