You can now request to act as a proxy for children, relatives and dependents that you care for and are patients at St James Medical Centre using the NHS App or Patient Access.
This enables a parent, family member or carer to act on behalf of the patient with their access tailored accordingly. The proxy feature includes appointment booking, repeat medication requests, text messaging and, where applicable, access to medical records, and can easily be accessed by the proxy once the patient has been linked. It is not possible, however, to access the NHS Covid Pass through proxy access.
Requests for proxy access need to be done by the patient or authorized carer in person at the practice.
